SS 1 Airline. I was commissioned to produce two complete Airline
frames for two original cars, one car had the remnants of the original ash frame, the other had no framework. The Airline
coachwork is an interesting if complicated shape to produce as there are so many sweeps terminating in the rear part of the
car but the complete frame is a pleasing shape ready for the panelbeating to start.
8C Alfa Romeo
This 8C car unusually has it correct coachwork commissioned when
new in 1935, it is a drophead coupe by Italian coachbuilder Castagna. Most 8C cars have lost their original coachwork in favour
of a sports type body such as Zagato unless originally fitted with such a body. The frames construction was by a cantilever
type design to keep entry to the car low and low flowing lines also.
